The Country Inn & Suites is located on the SE corner of one of the Proctor interchanges of I-35. Just behind the Inn is the double track of the DMIR near the top of Proctor hill. I noted this and asked for a room that over looked the tracks. They put us up on the second floor .... said they didn't get many requests to be near the RR tracks. During the night they ran about 3 trains down the hill.... wisper quite on welded rail .... and 2 trains up the hill .... working in 8th run. There is a McD's there as well as a Country Kitchen across the road.
