This is one of my favorite hotel's, J.W. Marriott Buckhead. This is a first class hotel with all the luxuries. Its located next to MARTA's Lenox train station (Orange line, station NE7) which is a quick ride to / from Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport, and downtown Atlanta. The hotel has a Hertz Rental Car location on site. Its also connected to the large Lenox Square Mall. This 25-story hotel has generous rooms which are very quiet. A room on the west side will not only give you a wonderful view of downtown Atlanta (in the distance), it also overlooks Norfolk Southern's former Southern Railway Mainline and two MARTA lines (Northeast Line & North Line). The MARTA train's pass-by continuously, its a matter of minutes between the transit train's. Norfolk Southern most likely runs 25-35 freights during a 24-hour period, and Amtrak's Crescent passes twice a day, both during daylight. You don't need a room too high for a wonderful view.
